Hi! I am Erin, the baby-boomer mom- half of this duo; and, yes our last name is really Pollen, which explains the name of our blog, The Pollen Count. With that name, I guess I couldn’t help but become interested in all things growing and just happen to have the best job as a gardening teacher at a local elementary school. Many people think I made up my last name to match my profession, but I think it was meant to be. Like my daughter, I love cats (chickens are high on my list of favorites, too), yoga, reading, cooking and being in the garden.
