Ramblings in Ireland

Our first 10 days in Ireland have been a wonderful adventure into  a slower-paced, greener ( this truly is the Emerald Isle) and very magical world.  I am now confidently zipping down the left side of the narrowest roads I have ever seen while shifting with my left hand (not so confidently 😁) and ogling gorgeous scenery; all while dodging the stray sheep that like to walk down the middle of the roads.

Ireland has fabulous beaches with miles of golden sand and turquoise water that is WARMER than the California oceans; though not warmer than North Carolina’s my daughter is quick to point out!

Ancient castles and tombs, green pastures, crystal clear rivers running through every town, flowers blooming everywhere and the kindest, most helpful folks you could ever encounter. What is not to fall in love with here?

We have worked our way up the Wild Atlantic Way from Killarney to Malin Head so far, ending up in Limavady for a few days to trace our Pollen family roots.  I will post just a few of the highlights from our wanderings through Ireland so far.
